Atonement

Nightmares haunt me now even when I’m awake.

I was supposed to be the good son.

The one that would protect his family and do everything in his power to keep them safe.

I failed.

I left when the opportunity presented itself and ran as far as I could, leaving them all behind.

But the Queen.

She needs me again.

I can feel it down to my bones.

I’ll go home.

I’ll fix everything.

I’ll save everyone, just like I was meant to.
