After years of forcing myself to be patient and play the waiting game.

Pretending like I hadn’t seen their heated gazes or been affected by their not-so-accidental touches, they would finally be mine and there was no way I was backing out now.

It was time I had my proverbial—and literal, depending on how the night went—cakes.
